Football Information

Season Schedule

The flag season runs through the last weekend in October and includes 6 weeks of regular season games followed by 1 subway series week.

The tackle season runs through the first weekend in November. It includes 6 regular season games, playoffs, and a championship. Members of the 7/8 team may potentially participate in an all-star game the second weekend in November.

Pre-season tackle training camp is included in registration and runs the last two weeks of summer, August 18 to 28, Monday through Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm. Training camp is strongly encouraged for all available tackle players. Details to follow in early August.

Flag practice and tackle regular season practice begins Tuesday, Sept 2nd, the first day of school.

The following dates are pending confirmation from vendors/venues and are subject to change. Every effort will be made to remain consistent with previous seasons and honor the dates below. 

August 18-21 & 25-28, 5:30-7:30pm - Preseason Training Camp (ALL TACKLE TEAMS)

Saturday, September 6 - 9am Team Photo Day (FLAG & TACKLE), specific team arrival times will be posted on your Sports Engine team page.


Sunday, September 7 - WYFL Mandatory Weigh-in & scrimmages (3/4 & 5/6 TACKLE ONLY)

Friday, TBD - Homecoming Field Run, 6:30pm (FLAG & TACKLE)

Sunday, November 30 - Frosty Day Parade, 4pm (FLAG & TACKLE)

Communication

All communication during the season will take place via the Sports Engine App. Please download the app and be sure to turn on notifications so you never miss an important update. Links to app stores at the bottom of this page.

*Players have the option to purchase their own helmets (white) and shoulder pads or check out certified reconditioned equipment from the high school, free of charge, which must be returned at the end of the season.

**Game pants will be provided to players by the school district and must be returned at the end of the season.

Byram Hills
High School

Home Field

Home games will be at the turf field on Sundays between 8am-1pm. 

Away games are determined by host school field availability, often on Sundays
with the potential for some Saturday games.

All game schedules are coordinated by the Westchester Youth Football League or Westchester United Football League (7/8 only). 

Game schedules are typically released in early September. 
Teams will be notified as soon as they become available.


PARENTS AND ATHLETES

Parents and athletes need to manage their SportsEngine accounts to ensure they get the most out of their Armonk Bobcats Youth Football & Cheer experience during each sporting season. ESSENTIAL PARENT HOW-TO'S

Adding an additional guardian

In many instances, more than one parent or guardian needs to be in the loop with a child's sports life. Using the mobile app, you can add additional guardians to an account. Guardians can 1) View games and events 2) RSVP to games and events 3) Send and receive messages to coaches and team members 4) participate in team chat

Adding a Mobile Phone

Once you've created your account, add your mobile phone so you can receive text messages from your team manager or coach.

Enabling Text Messaging

Now that you have your mobile phone on your account, make sure you enable text messaging and any other notifications.

Following a Team on the SportsEngine Mobile App

Forwarding Athlete Messages
